Network Setup & Installations

Network setups are not straightforward and require a lot of specialist knowledge and benefit from years of experience. We have that in oodles and can help with  both the physical aspects (cabling, wiring, mounting, tagging, testing) and the logical aspect (software installation, configuration, monitoring).

It is also important to consider whether you really want or need to use WiFi networks at all. Yes they are convenient. But with a cost. The cost is possible compromise of your valuable data and network – exposing the whole thing to the wider world. If you absolutely require WiFi you might be better of putting those devices on a separate network.

Here are some common scenarios that implement often:

  • Connecting two or more remote office networks so they appear and function as one single network
  • Securing remote access to your network
  • Installing WiFi with multiple access points on large sites so that there is good reception everywhere
  • Wiring and installing Ethernet drops for a securely cabled office (no information leaks over WiFi)
  • Separating Insecure devices onto their own network (e.g. Raspberry Pis, telephones, tablets) so that only authorized and secure devices access the “real network” and the “real data”
  • Allowing only “Known” and friendly devices to join the network

So if you are moving to a new office, or re-configuring an outdated or inadequate installation, or just want to start again – just ask us for a quote or some assistance.
